  • Through photographs, ornithological specimens, and natural history displays, integrated with the wildlife art of American modernist Charley Harper, Flights of Fancy shares fascinating information about the birds of the Texas Coastal Bend and the region’s ecological importance. Exhibit activities throughout the run of the exhibit include lectures by ornithologists, workshops teaching birding skills, a photography competition, and special avian events.
  • Victoria’s Museum of the Coastal Bend may serve to archive and interpret the history and heritage of mid-coast Texas but it also offers up something that no other museum has– the centerpiece exhibit of seven French cannons discovered by archeologists while excavating the Fort St. Louis site near Victoria.
