Saturdays at MCB this summer, kids and families can discover Texas history and explore the stories of kids in the Coastal Bend from prehistoric times through today. Participants will gain insight into the daily life of a different group of children -- indigenous inhabitants, French colonists, Spanish missionaries, and early ranchers. Best for kids (and kids at heart!) ages 5+. All supplies provided. Suggested donation $5/participant to assist with supply costs. Pre-registration not required.
July 16, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. A Day Among the Early People of Texas: Visitors can take part in activities that would have been part of a kid's typical day 13,000 years ago -- weave a basket or create your own projectile point. Enjoy a special visit with Andy the Armadillo from Texas Roadhouse!
