Feb. 11, 2 p.m. Patrick McLaughlin, playwright and thespian, reads Othello in Union County by celebrated author Tony Hillerman. The short essay, from Hillerman’s collection of true bits of American folklore gathered during his tenure as a newspaperman, is an ironic account of how McJunkin’s commonsense intelligence challenged, and eventually changed the dogma of the Smithsonian Institution. The reading is free admission and open to the public.
