Temporary Exhibit: Celebrating America 250—The American Revolution Experience

This exhibit provides an immersive journey into the pivotal moments that shaped our nation’s history. Explore the contributions of those living in what is now Texas, then New Spain, to the Revolutionary War. Organized by the Texas Society Daughters of the American Revolution, and hosted at the Museum of the Coastal Bend by the Guadalupe Victoria Chapter NSDAR.

Opening Reception & John W. Stormont Lecture:
Thursday, January 8, 2026; 4-6 p.m.
Admission to this event and the exhibit is free and open to the public.
4:30 p.m.--Caren Adamson, member of the Guadalupe Victoria Chapter NSDAR, discusses the exhibit's immersive journey into the pivotal moments that shaped our nation's history, including the contributions of those living in what is now Texas, then New Spain, to the Revolutionary War.
5 p.m.--Debbie Colley, VC adjunct music professor and VISD band director, leads the audience in experiencing "Music of the American Revolution" with a patriotic performance of fife and drum.
