Texas Native Plants Demonstration Garden Opening Day

Join us at the Museum of the Coastal Bend to celebrate the new garden exhibit! The garden is filled with Texas native plants, as well as butterflies, bees, and other insects attracted to the plants. Interpretive panels tell the story of how people from 13,000 years ago through today have used native plants for food, shelter, medicine, and more.

Make bee houses, herbal teas, and more.

Free admission and open to the public. Free supplies while they last. Activities are open to all ages, but best enjoyed by children ages 8-14.

The garden is located on the east side of the museum, and can be accessed anytime. Enjoy!
